Hi everyone,

I’m Andy McGowan, the current Access and Funding Officer for Cambridge University Students’ Union.

You’ll find that all of my blog posts are about issues relating to access and widening participation. Many of them will be providing the context and wider picture that many politicians fail to deem necessary.

I’m one of those first-generation university entrants, ‘Free School Meal’ kids and write as someone who didn’t plan to go to university when he didn’t start college. As someone who was a young carer for both parents for 14 years, you may well find me blogging about that issue as well.
